Lamp Spectrum

Long wavelength UV and visible blue light pass through glass, ceramics, plastics and other organic material. They also penetrate deeper into UV curable resin than short wavelength UV does. Short wavelength UV provides a good tack-free surface cure.

Lumen Dynamics has a family of products built around high pressure mercury arc lamps. the irradiance from these lamps is typically greater than 25,000 mw/cm2 from 250 – 500 nm. Lumen Dynamics has developed a series of optical filters that can be used to provide selected spectral pass bands tailored to many common applications.
