UV cured adhesives

UV-curing adhesives are single component, solvent free and mainly cold curing systems. Curing occurs on demand when activated by UV light. Applications requiring precision alignment can be done without watching the clock as with two component or air drying adhesives.

Because UV materials are solvent free they require much less energy to cure them than many other adhesives do. UV curing is often referred to as ‘instant curing’ because the polymerisation reaction takes place in seconds or less.

Most UV adhesives are based on acrylics or epoxies and when fully polymerised, they are very stable and chemically resistant.
